As Acclaim Car and Truck Repair moves into 2024, we are entering a bittersweet and exciting chapter in our journey. After decades of dedication and hard work, Ken and Rich, two of our founding owners, are preparing to step away from their roles to focus on personal and family needs.
Ken, our Master Transmission Technician, will be retiring first due to family health priorities. However, he plans to remain involved as needed for transmission work, offering his expertise and guidance when called upon. Ken’s expertise, passion for classic cars, and unwavering commitment to quality have been integral to making Acclaim a trusted name in drive train restoration and transmission work. While his daily presence in the shop will be greatly missed, Ken’s influence on our operations and standards will remain a lasting legacy.
Rich, our Lead General Repair Tech and Trainer, will follow suit, transitioning out of ownership in about a year. Before his exit, Rich will assist in hiring a new team member to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the high standard of service our customers expect. Rich has been a cornerstone of our team, leading with precision, innovation, and a dedication to mentoring the next generation of technicians. His technical skill and leadership have made Acclaim a standout in the industry, and we are grateful for the countless hours he has invested in our success.
As we bid farewell to Ken and Rich, we are thrilled to announce that Dave, our Lead Fabricator, General Repair Tech, and Trainer, will be taking the helm as the new owner of Acclaim Car and Truck Repair. Dave has been an integral part of our team for years, bringing unmatched craftsmanship and a forward-thinking approach to every project. His passion for classic cars and commitment to our customers ensure that the heart and soul of Acclaim will continue to thrive under his leadership. Additionally, we are hopeful that Joey, our youngest team member, will step into a higher technician role, continuing to grow and contribute to the legacy of excellence at Acclaim.
Supporting Dave in this transition is his wife, Michelle, who will remain as our Office Manager, Service Advisor, Parts Personnel, and Researcher. Michelle has been the backbone of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her organizational skills and customer-first approach are instrumental to our continued success.
We want to assure our loyal customers that Acclaim Car and Truck Repair remains committed to the same values and excellence that have defined us since the beginning. Under Dave and Michelle’s leadership, we will continue to specialize in drive train restoration, transmission work, and general repairs for classic cars from 1940 to 1987, while looking for new opportunities to grow and serve our community.
To Ken and Rich: Thank you for your vision, dedication, and the countless memories you’ve created here at Acclaim. To our customers: Thank you for your trust and support as we embrace this exciting new chapter. We look forward to continuing to serve you with the same passion and expertise that have always set us apart.
Stay tuned for updates, as we will be sharing more about the transition and celebrating Ken and Rich’s remarkable careers in the coming months!
